Cancellations or Changes
Due to the custom nature of our products we cannot accept cancellations or changes. To cancel or to re-schedule an in-home consultation, 24-hours notice is required. If proper notice is not provided, the consultation fee will not be refunded or applied to any future purchases.
Although we have tried to ensure that the colours of the samples on our site are accurate, the actual colours of the blind will vary. This is due to the fact that every computer monitor has a different capability to display colours and that everyone sees these colours differently. For these reasons, we cannot guarantee that the colour you see accurately portrays the true colour of the product. Because our products are all custom made and cannot be returned you need to be sure that any colour variations between the samples and the actual blind will be acceptable to you.
Colour Samples and Catalogues
At this time, we do not ship samples or catalogues. If you live in the GTA and your online purchase is over $750, we will bring all necessary sample books so you can verify the color(s). See our Buy Online Special for more details.

In-Home Consultation Service
A professional sales representative will come to your home, measure the windows, and provide you with an estimate. Please note that the fee you pay is for the service, not the measurements. If you place an order within 15 days of the consultation, the fee will be put towards your purchase. With the exception of the 24-hr cancellation notice, no refunds will be issued for the consultation service.
If you receive your order without instructions, please contact us and we will e-mail you the appropriate file(s).
Limited Lifetime Warranty
Mars Blinds & Shutters extends the following limited warranty:
Mars Blinds & Shutters will repair or replace any part of the blind found to be defective in materials or workmanship at no additional cost to you.
To obtain service, bring the product(s) in question to Mars Blinds & Shutters with this warranty and your purchase invoice.
This warranty is limited to the original consumer purchaser of the blinds. There is no time limit to our warranty.
This warranty does not apply to any defect caused by improper installation, alteration, abuse, misuse or exposure to excess moisture. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, such as the natural deterioration of fabric and changes in color that take place over time. This warranty does not cover products that exceed Mars Blinds & Shutters' size recommendations.
Mars Blinds & Shutters is not responsible for shipping or labor charges or any other costs involved with the returning of products or re-installation of the returned/replaced products.
Mars Blinds & Shutters provides repair services for products not purchased from us, however, a repair fee will apply. Please note that we do not accept dirty blinds.
We accept all major credit cards as payment. Online orders are processed using PayPal, which will allow you to pay via all accepted PayPal methods. Making a payment via PayPal is quick, easy, and completely secure.
We do not accept COD orders.
Since the blinds we make are custom made to fit your windows, we do not allow returns and/or refunds as a result of mismeasuring, wrong color selection, miscalculations, or wrong blind selection by the customer.
All Bedding items and Parts orders are final. No refunds on parts, bedding items and/or In-Home Service.
Most of our blinds are delivered within 5 to 10 working days after receipt of a complete order with credit card approval. On rare occasions, there may be manufacturing delays out of our control. In these cases, we will notify you of the delay and the estimated shipping date of your order. Unless there is a delay or need for more information from you, orders will be in production the following business day.
Mars Blinds & Shutters provides free delivery to the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and across Canada. Free delivery does not apply to products listed in the 'Parts', 'Vertical Louvers & Tracks', and 'Drapery Hardware' sections of our Site.
The general shipping cost for Canada is $9.99 plus applicable taxes. Shipping charges may be higher depending on overall weight/length of the order and your location. We will notify you by e-mail if this is the case. Shipping costs subject to change without notice. Alternatively, you may pick up your Parts/Hardware or Shutter order from our Mississauga location. We will notify you via e-mail when the order is ready for pick up.
Shipping is also available to the USA. The minimum shipping cost for the USA is $22.99. Shipping charges may be higher depending on overall weight/length of the order and your location. We will notify you by e-mail if this is the case. Please note that any additional brokerage charges, customs duty and/or VAT imposed on the shipment at the border will be billed to the purchaser. If the package is unclaimed by the purchaser, shipping charges will not be refunded. All shipments to the USA are processed either via UPS, FedEx or Canada Post. Shipping costs subject to change without notice.
